TGIF

I've  been in one of those funks, It's so sad that we wish time away just to have a break but when you look around, everything has passed you by. I am completely guilty of wishing it was this day or this time etc and all my life I look back and wonder why its flying by (even when it feels like slow motion) I have to work on myself as a person to try to find happiness otherwise I'm just going to be miserable, and my husband and kiddos don't deserve that! They need to see the old me, the happier me, the FUN me and sadly I lost that girl a long time ago.  So here's to finding me! It's going to be a long slow process but everyone deserves to be happy and healthy, even me I guess!

Today is going to probably be one of our last perfect weather days of November before the cold, rainy, flurry filled weather arrives, so make it a good one!  Go outside, play with the kids, take a walk, do something to just RELAX and take your mind of things! (and after that I'm sure my mind will fill back up with the stress and worries of cleaning, grocery shopping, ball games, my families health, getting in shape,  thanksgiving and other holidays coming up... BUT at least for an hour or so everyone should take the time to enjoy the little things!

Enjoy the weekend, don't wish it away!!!

A quote my husband always says, that he heard daily in high school from a great man he looked up to:

"MAKE IT A GREAT DAY OR NOT, THE CHOICE IS YOURS"

Another weekend has come and gone...

And just like that its Monday again! Why does the work week go so slow but the weekend so quick!?!  This past weekend was actually pretty laid back (which rarely happens)

Friday was Veteran's Day.  Our country is going thru a divided time however, I firmly believe that everyday (not just Veteran's Day) we should honor those who have sacrificed and risked everything for us to have our freedom! So to every man and woman in all branches thank you!  With multiple family and friends who have stepped up for our country, this is definitely personal to me!

Oh, I have to add in too, the husband and boy surprised me with sweet tea from one of my fav's: Mcallisters! (I love pretty flowers every now and then But boy does this man know is way to my heart :) lol )

Saturday of course is "ballgame" day!  Basketball and flag football games spread over the county and the husband in the trees for the first day of rifle season! Unfortunately for the hubs, no luck :(  I'm patiently waiting for some venison goetta!!!

Besides the husband working and the kiddos and I "cleaning" all in all it was an uneventful weekend which is perfectly fine with us!

My favorite time of the year!

This past week was Halloween!!! My ABSOLUTE 100% favorite time of the year!!!! I love all things fall and Halloween, AND it happens to be the day my baby was born!

The weekend before we met up with my sister (family) and a massive group of friends!  What started as a smaller experiment that has grown over the years is a Halloween themed camp! Kentucky state park campgrounds definitely do it right, all the campers decorate, dress up, pass out candy, and other fun scheduled events.  My sister and her husband have had campers/boats since I was a teen and it has always been a hobby and tradition to go with them (any time of year).  Next year we have officially booked our own campsite to join in on the entire weekend festivities. Let the camper shopping begin!  The kids all have a great time dressing up and running around together, carving/painting pumpkins while the adults join in on being a kid again too!

Saturday C had basketball while Z had football (thank goodness daddy was off work to help get the kiddos in 2 different places) luckily they were right after each other so C and I were able to make it just in time to watch a little flag football.  It was nice getting to relax and spend the day together as family (This rarely happens with crazy work schedules) We were able to see my sister in laws new house, go explore and start the whole "camper" shopping adventure, and then took our little guy out to his birthday dinner since we trick or treat on his special day :)

Monday was Halloween! We were so lucky to have crazy good weather to enjoy the day!  My husband and I were able to take off work to hang out with our little birthday dude and take him birthday gift shopping!  He wanted a "trick" bike.  (knock on wood we don't see any er visits for our little daredevil anytime soon!)  After he found his perfect trick bike and matching helmet (and got big sis out of school for the day) we spent our evening at the In-laws.  (I seriously hit the jack pot with in-laws, I married into the best family)  We ordered pizza with the family and got to take the kids and a couple of their cousins around the neighborhood to trick or treat! Although for perfect weather I thought the streets were pretty empty ;/  After Trick or treat we celebrated with Z with yummy cupcakes and birthday love.  Unfortunately, It was a school night so everyone had to get kiddos home and ready to wake up early the next day, but overall I think we had a great Halloween 2016!

the beginning of a blog... we'll see how this goes

Well, what can I say, I am Just a small town country girl, wife, mother to 2 kiddos!  I have been back and fourth about starting a blog and have finally decided to take the plunge!  With all the craziness in our life why not keep track of everything! (the good lord knows this anxious mommy brain isn't going to remember anything, well unless its useless but that's another story!)  If no one reads it, it's perfectly fine, I will still be able to look back and track our memories on a daily basis!

This blog will be filled with anything from daily rants, funny sh@t my kids say, my anxieties, planner and craft obsessions, and whatever else may come my way!  If you're looking for something that is politically correct and not offensive..... you better find a new blog to read! I'm real, I tell it how it is and I'm not always "lady like" !
